Nestled in the heart of Pukekohe, The Good Home has become a local favourite, offering a welcoming space that blends contemporary design, with a warm, homely atmosphere. The interior fit-out, led by Burning Red Design, required a meticulous approach to finishes and materials, ensuring the restaurant-bar retained an inviting charm while embracing modern durability.

The result is a thoughtfully curated interior where every surface, texture, and finish has been meticulously considered. The Good Home Pukekohe now stands as a testament to the power of precise craftsmanship—where the harmony of materials and expert execution create a space that is as visually appealing as it is functional.

The charm of Goodhome has made it one of Pukekohe's favourite meeting places

As a high-traffic hospitality setting, Goodhome needed a carefully curated finishes schedule. The attention to detail extended to timber elements, where VidaSpace reclaimed barn oak served as the benchmark for all timber detailing. Timber elements underwent a rigorous finishing process, receiving three coats of marine-quality satin polyurethane to ensure longevity and resistance to wear in this high-traffic hospitality setting. This layering process not only enhanced durability but also preserved the wood’s natural warmth, ensuring a seamless transition between heritage and contemporary design.
